On April 30 a fire ripped through historic Eastern Market on Capitol Hill in Washington DC destroying the 134 year old indoor market. The market has been the city’s longest running indoor fresh food market filling the neighborhood with good baked goods, fresh fish, flowers, vegetables, cheeses and more. Eastern Market is the center of the Eastern Market neighborhood; a place to catch up with neighbors and be a part of community. You can help the vendors and employees displaced by the fire today. The shirts are American Apparel 100% cotton and styles for women, men and children. The shirts are $20 and $14 of the dollars will go to the Capitol Hill Community Foundation. Children’s shirts are $15. Please allow a minimum of one week for processing plus shipping. Shipping and handling is anadditional $2 per shirt.
